In 2019, Pastor Cecil founded Cecil Thompson Ministries, which evolved into The Glory Church LA (GCLA). In just six years, GCLA has grown to include over ten ministries focused on prayer, Bible study, education, wellness, and youth development.

 

Professionally, Pastor Cecil is a Chaplain at the Los Angeles Mission, helping individuals overcome homelessness and poverty through faith-based support.

 

Pastor Cecil is deeply committed to spreading the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and takes great joy in seeing souls added to the Kingdom. He is the proud father of his daughter, Kennedy Grace Thompson.

Since his adolescence, Cecil has traveled the world extensively ministering the Word of GOD through preaching and singing. Pastor Cecil serves in several ministerial capacities in the Music and Youth Departments of the Church of God in Christ at the local, jurisdictional, regional, and international levels. Among his ministry assignments, it is his honor to serve as Youth President of the California Southwest Jurisdiction, Music Department President of the West Coast Region, and Co-Coordinator of the International Youth Choir. Since 2019, Pastor Cecil has led The Glory Church Los Angeles (formerly Cecil Thompson Ministries) with anointed, effective and innovative approaches to seek GOD’s Glory and share the Agape Love of JESUS CHRIST!

 

Above all, Cecil’s greatest joy is seeing souls added to the Kingdom of GOD. Pastor Cecil is the proud father of one beautiful daughter, Kennedy Grace.
